Meet Our Founder
Hi, I'm Elnaz, a pharmacist, a mom, and the reason Vitamin Hive exists.
I didn't start Vitamin Hive to build a supplement company. I started it because I spent years telling my patients to take vitamin D3, and I couldn't find a single gummy version I'd actually give my own kids.
The Problem I Couldn't Ignore
As a pharmacist with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, I've spent my career studying how medications and nutrients interact with the human body. I understand absorption, bioavailability, drug-nutrient interactions, and why some formulations work and others don't.
So when I started looking for a vitamin D3+K2 gummy for my family, I assumed I'd find something good. Instead, I found corn syrup, gelatin, MK-4 instead of MK-7, lanolin-sourced D3, no fat for absorption, and "natural flavors" that aren't what they sound like.
"I knew exactly what a well-formulated D3+K2 gummy should look like. It just didn't exist yet."
So I made it. Every decision came from the same standard I apply to every recommendation I make as a pharmacist: would I give this to my own family? If the answer was no, we changed it until it was yes.
Six Decisions That Define Every Gummy
Here's what I changed, and why, compared to what you'll find on most store shelves.
D3 from lichen, not sheep's wool
Most D3 is lanolin-derived. Lichen gives us bioidentical D3 from a plant source — suitable for vegetarians and people who care about what's actually in their vitamins.
K2 as MK-7, not MK-4
MK-7 stays active in your bloodstream for up to 72 hours. MK-4 clears in a few hours. For once-daily dosing, MK-7 is the only form that makes clinical sense.
Organic avocado oil built in for absorption
D3 and K2 are fat-soluble, they need fat to absorb. I added organic avocado oil directly into the formula. Absorption is built in, not left to chance.
Pectin base, not gelatin
Gelatin comes from animal bones and skin. Pectin comes from apple and citrus. Same gummy texture, completely plant-derived.
Manuka honey instead of corn syrup
Corn syrup is cheap, that's why the supplement industry loves it. Genuine New Zealand Manuka honey is a real food ingredient. The difference matters every day.
Third-party tested, every batch
Every production run goes to an ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited laboratory for independent potency, heavy metals, and microbiological testing. COA available on request.
Our Vision
To make clean, effective supplementation the norm — not the exception. A world where every vitamin label is honest, every dose is backed by science, and every ingredient has a reason to be there. That's the standard I hold Vitamin Hive to, and the one I'd want every brand to meet.
Cheers to your health,
